Positive Perspectives

"Making HIV part of my aftercare so I can live positively. "
Positive Perspectives is a HIV aftercare support group with a focus on HIV and how it affects (or is affected by) chemical health, addiction and recovery.
Group meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4:30 - 6pm.
Confidential pre-registration is required, during which downtown Minneapolis location will be disclosed. This group is free, and refreshments are provided.
Who’s eligible:
- Must be HIV-positive (events for HIV-negative partners/friends/family of group members offered)
- People in recovery who are currently or previously participated in chemical dependency treatment (in-patient or out-patient)
- Able to commit to 3 consecutive meetings
Discussion topics include:
- Intersection of HIV and chemical health
- Medical adherence and HIV care
- Sexual health and dating
- Disclosure (family/friends/work/etc.)
- Newly diagnosed issues
