Directions to the Hennepin County Public Health Clinic
Red Door Services are available at the Hennepin County Public Health Clinic, located on the 4th Floor of the Hennepin County Health Services Building: 525 Portland Ave S, 4th Floor, Minneapolis MN 55415.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Directions from the East (via I-94):
Take interstate highway 94 west to the 5th Street South exit. Follow 5th Street toward downtown keeping to the left and proceeding around the Metrodome Stadium. When you are just about past the stadium at the intersection of 5th Street and Chicago Avenue/Kirby Puckett Drive, keep to the lane on the LEFT side of the median which will allow you to follow 5th Street on the LEFT side of the Light Rail tracks. Proceed in this lane to Portland Avenue South. Turn left on Portland Avenue South. The Health Services Building is on the left.
Directions from the West (via I-394):
Take interstate highway 394 east to the downtown 6th Street exit, and follow 6th Street to Portland Avenue South. The Health Services Building is on the left.
Directions from the North (via I-94):
Take interstate highway 94 east to the 4th Street exit, and follow 4th Street to Portland Avenue South. Turn right on Portland Avenue and go to 6th Street. The Health Services Building is on the left.
Directions from the Northeast (via I-35W):
Driving from the North on I-35W is difficult because of the collapse of the I-35W bridge near downtown Minneapolis. Take the detours to I-94 and follow the directions from the East or the West.
Directions from the South (via I-35W):
Take interstate Highway 35W north and follow the "Downtown Exits". Take the 11th Street/Grant Street exit. Take 11th Street to 3rd Avenue South. Turn right on 3rd Avenue South and follow it to 6th Street. Turn right on 6th Street and follow it to Portland Avenue. The Health Services Building is on the left.
Handicapped-Accessible Entrances
The drop-off handicapped-accessible entrance is located on the corner of Portland Avenue and 6th Street.
Bus and Light Rail Transit Routes
For information on bus routes, call 612.373.3333 or check out the Metro Transit website. The light rail Downtown East/Metrodome Station (metrodome stop) is one block from the Health Services Building.
Downtown Parking
There is plenty of metered parking along 6th Street and Portland Ave ($1.00/hr, a quarter machine is available in our lobby). There are also several nearby parking ramps and lots.
